Dr. Ben Edmunds brings 26 years of dental experience to Surf House Dental, along with a perspective on patient care that most dentists can't offer: he spent years as a dental patient himself. As a teenager and young adult, he went through multiple orthodontic treatments and maxillofacial surgery to correct significant jaw issues. He knows what it feels like to sit in that chair, to need clear answers, and to rely on a team that genuinely puts your wellbeing first. That experience didn't just shape him as a person; it shaped the kind of dentist he set out to become.

Dr. Edmunds earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific in 2000, then went on to complete a 15-month residency at the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry in 2002, one of the most focused cosmetic and esthetic programs available. He built his first practice from the ground up in Texas, growing it into one of the most respected practices in the area over two decades. When the pull of the West Coast became too strong to ignore, he and his wife found their way to Sunset Cliffs and a practice that felt like the right fit from the start.
