Meet Dr. Ben Edmunds
Dr. Ben Edmunds has spent 26 years practicing dentistry with one consistent focus: doing right by the person in the chair. His path to dentistry is a personal one. As a teenager and young adult, he experienced multiple orthodontic treatments and maxillofacial surgery to correct significant jaw issues. Those years as a patient, navigating a process that required trust, patience, and a team that genuinely cared, shaped everything about how he practices today.
Dr. Edmunds earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2000, then went on to complete a 15-month residency at the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry in 2002, one of the most focused and rigorous cosmetic dentistry training programs available. That combination of a strong clinical foundation and deep esthetic training is what allows him to approach each smile with both precision and artistry.
After dental school, Dr. Edmunds built a practice from scratch in Texas, growing it into one of the most respected and successful practices in the area over two decades. When the pull of the West Coast became too strong to ignore, he and his wife made the move, eventually finding a practice in Sunset Cliffs that felt like the right fit: a patient-first focus, a coastal community, and a setting that matched the kind of dentistry he had always wanted to offer.
His approach in the exam room is straightforward. He listens first. He uses intraoral camera images to walk you through his findings in real time, so you're never left guessing about what's going on with your teeth. When it comes to treatment, he presents options clearly and on your timeline, never with pressure. He'll also ask if there's anything about your smile you've ever wanted to change, not as a sales pitch, but because understanding your goals is part of doing the job well.

When it's time to review any treatment, plans are presented in a dedicated room on a large screen, so everything is easy to follow and easy to understand.
